Sompting tornado

TORRO are aware of reports of damage in parts of Sompting and North Lancing (West Sussex) during the morning of Thursday 2nd November 2023, in association Storm Ciarán.

TORRO member Sarah Horton carried out a detailed Site Investigation on Friday 3rd November 2023 to assess the damage path and type of damage. While the full details are yet to be analysed, a tornado has been confirmed with a provisional rating of T2. A detailed written report will be provided on our events page when available.
