Founded in 1998. This division undertakes data collection, news, research and publication on all heavy snowfalls and blizzards that have affected the UK since the year 1861. The division also reports on significant snowfall news across other areas of the World. |

Extreme Rainfall Division

Founded in 2004, this division records convective-related flash-floods in the UK and Eire and investigates severe cases. It also undertakes research on non-meteorological factors that contribute to the severity of such floods. |
Hailstorm Division

Founded in 1975; European data intake. This division undertakes data collection, research and publication. |
Lightning Impacts Division
|
Database for British Isles founded in 1993. Aims to create a European database eventually. This division undertakes data collection, research and publication. |
Severe Storm Forecast Division
|
Made public in 2006 at www.torro.org.uk/torro/forecast/ with an overall aim to provide accurate forecasts and headed up by professional meteorologists. |
Tornado Division

(Includes Site Investigation Operations) Founded in 1974; European data intake. This division undertakes data collection, research and publication on Tornadoes and other major and minor whirlwinds and remarkable showers. |
Thunderstorm Division

Incorporating the Thunderstorm Census Organisation founded in 1924, (TORRO Thunderstorm Division founded in 1975). The two co-existed until they merged in 1982; mainly a British and Irish data intake. This division undertakes data collection, research and publication. |
Weather Disasters Division

Weather & Health Division |
Founded 2002; Collects data on influence of weather on health, and references to weather and health from the medical literature. |
