COMMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER
Quite an uneventful month all in with very little to get excited about, except for maybe a rather interesting fall of star shaped hail in Norwood, London http://www.torro.org.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=862 though the forum remains active and has shown to be a success with our members.
TORRO’s website is currently undergoing a professional overhaul and I can say now is looking very good with a much better user friendly layout facilitating drop down menus and return links. A gallery is currently being arranged by Mark Humpage . This will establish a more visual experience when surfing the site.
Scott Sawyer has retired from his position with merchandise due to other commitments and this division will remain temporarily out of stock until a new co ordinater is found. Any members that are interested in helping TORRO with this work please email me Anthony.gilbert@torro.org.uk
Some members have had problems resizing images for the forum. Please note our limit currently stands at 150kb. If you not not have a re sizing facility go to http://bluefive.pair.com/index.php and choose ‘pic resizer’ this is a free program and is safe. A very useful tool!
We once again would like to make an appeal to our members for the position of secretary. If you are interested please email myself or robertkdoe@aol.com. We do not expect miracles and would be willing to offer support and direction for the early months.
A big thank you to everyone at the autumn meeting. A very enjoyable day was had by all. I hope the rest of you will give it a look in, in the Spring!!
Best Wishes
Tony Gilbert (Director and Site Investigation Coordinator to TORRO)
