In The News
An active month for severe weather occurring in the UK with several reports listed above. The
Hutton FC on the 21st of May was photographed in spectacular style and this can be seen on
the TORRO forum.
Similarly the FC that was reported on the 23rd of May can be seen
here on the UKWW pages, along with the FC reported at
Lerwick here.
John Tyrrell carried out a two-day site investigation in the town of Buncrana in County Donegal
following reports of a TN on the 16th May. His findings meant that the initial reports by the
media of smashed windows, chimneys wrecked and roof tiles displaced could be corrected and John
has recorded this event as a T0 TN.
See his report
here.

Site Investigation
Members are reminded that that one of the prime functions of TORRO is to
acquire and research severe weather. This can only be achieved by the pro-active involvement
of its members in this worthwhile activity. It is only by getting out and seeing the damage and
recoding the detail in person that we can hope to gain a true understanding of what has occurred.
