CONCLUDING COMMENTS
July, well a bit more interesting than of late with several thunderstorms effecting various regions. Many members were able to stock up with new photo's for their albums. Though it should be noted that whilst we are grateful for the reports that more basic detail is still required. Hence many of the above listings are either lower case or have a question mark by them. Please can members also give the county and approx time of event. There is a wealth of information to be found via the internet news links. The link can be posted to the mailing list for all to view. Thankyou to Harry McPhillimy and others who have helped in this way. If an incident has occurred in your location please feel free to investigate and post back your findings. Remember to print off the Investigation form within the TORRO website firstly.

MAILING LIST
We are pleased to announce that the mailing list continues to become more busy and interactive with atleast one new member joining per day. We are currently attempting to re establish another message board for severe weather reporting, forecasting and other important TORRO issues only, such as dealing with press or on going site investigations. This will greatly help with disseminating information.

WEB SITE
Those members of staff still to add a section of information to the web site, just a reminder that your efforts will be much appreciated.

REQUEST FOR HELP
TORRO would like to make an application to the Lottery Fund for a grant to help us with our work. TORRO is a voluntary organisation and such funds would greatly facilitate our future progress for the good of the organisation and the public. If anyone has any knowledge in this field of work or would like to help, your offer would be much appreciated.

AUTUMN MEETING
Please remember the Autumn meeting will be 20th September Oxford Brookes University. This is an important day for TORRO and your attendance will be much appreciated. This is also a good time to meet others with similar interests and to learn by others experiences. Details are now on the TORRO web site

TORRO FORECASTING

This photo was taken by my father 3rd July 2003. Top of his boat right hand bottom corner. Looking north from Yarmouth Isle of Wight during thunderstorm. Two waterspouts were reported in at this location. Shows a stunning cloud base!
