CONCLUDING COMMENTS FOR JANUARY
The absence of any real severe weather activity was to be expected at some point in the year and as a result very little to comment on for the month of January. Typically a month of winter depressions and strong cold winds. The end of the month seeing blizzard like conditions bring many roads and airports to a standstill in SE England. Thousands of motorists were reportedly trapped in their cars overnight.
I would like to remind all members that the TORRO Spring Meeting will be held on the Saturday 22nd March at the Oxford Brookes University. Further details will be posted shortly. Ticket will be available from Prof Derek Elsom torro@brookes.ac.uk Tel. 01865 483761.
Best Wishes Tony Gilbert (Executive to The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation) Tornado Site Investigation Co ordinator.
