COMMENTS

APRIL WEATHER EVENTS
The Manchester event on the 7th April consisted of an initial report by Nigel Bolton of large hail and then further information came to light of damage caused by strong winds, possibly a tornado. TORRO members Samantha Hall, Tim Sharp and Andrew Begent-Peers conducted a site investigation into this event. Initial conclusions of a tornado accompanied by large hail and downburst winds formed this event. Read the comments by the site investigators and view their photographs on the TORRO Forum by clicking here. Nigel Bolton reported on the TORRO Forum that the small village of Tebay in Cumbria suffered a Tornado during Saturday the 8th of April with initial damage reported to be overturned and damaged caravans/mobile homes. Martin North made contact with an eyewitness and obtained further details. For photographs of damage and the storm's structure and eyewitness accounts click here.
